Maximize Your Claim: Conveniently Apply and Manage It Online

Looking to file for unemployment benefits online? Look no further than UI Online, the most efficient and convenient way to manage your claim digitally. Whether on your computer or mobile device, you can quickly apply for and manage your unemployment benefits using UI Online. Follow these steps to begin:

• To begin using UI Online, you must first create a Benefit Programs Online account.

It is important to note that registration is not complete after submission. You will receive an automated confirmation email with an expiring link to finalize your account registration. Be sure to check your spam or junk folder if you do not see the email in your inbox.

Once your Benefit Programs Online account is created, you can log in and select UI Online to register. You will need to provide personal information, including your first and last name as it appears on your claim, date of birth, Social Security number, and EDD Customer Account Number. If you have lost your EDD Customer Account Number, call 1-800-300-5616.

Once you have completed registration for both Benefit Programs Online and UI Online, you can use UI Online to manage your claim. This includes filing and reopening claims, certifying for benefits and tracking eligibility issues, managing payment information, confirming identity, and more. UI Online also allows for messages and notifications related to your claim to be communicated with you digitally.

If you are under 18, you may still apply for benefits via phone, fax, or mail.

UI Online is available at specific times in Pacific Time, including Sunday from 5 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Tuesday to Friday.

The UI Online site is available for use from 2 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays, except for the hours of 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. During this time, users who navigate to either UI Online or UI Online Mobile will be diverted to the full UI Online site and have full access to all of its features.

Once you've logged in to the site, you can find these resources located in the upper right-hand corner of the screen by clicking on the question mark (?) icon or Help link.

If you experience issues with account setup or logging in, call 1-833-978-2511 and select option 1 for technical support. Technical support is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Pacific time), except on state holidays. However, please note that call volumes are highest on Monday mornings before 10 a.m., so we suggest calling at off-peak times if possible.

To ensure the security of your account, please do not share sensitive information, such as your Social Security number or password, with anyone. If you suspect that your account has been compromised in any way, please contact UI immediately for assistance.
